Luray was recently ranked the number two most beautiful wedding location in America. We are proud of this designation but we are not surprised. Luray is nestled between the Blue Ridge and Massanutten Mountains in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley. Grand mountains, idylic farms, gorgeous sunsets and a rustic charm make Luray a truly wonderful location for a destination wedding.
This is the view from the Pavilion... including a sweeping panorama of the Blue Ridge Mountains and Shenandoah Valley. The view is facing southwest, sunsets here are an event. The Pavilion at Shenandoah Woods is a covered, open-air structure purpose built for weddings or any social event.
The Pavilion package includes:
exclusive use of the Pavilion for an entire weekend
up to 200 guests
tables and chairs for up to 200 guests
propane space heaters
sidewalls, if needed
professional PA and dance lighting system
access to all of the photo opportunities Shenandoah Woods has to offer
What is not included:
flowers and decorations
wedding planning and coordination
Local caterers can provide food, beverages, table linens, dinerware, bartenders and wait staff.
Please understand the type of venue that Shenandoah Woods provides. We are located in a private valley and offer a spectacular setting for your ceremony, reception and guest accommodations. However, we are not to be confused with a hotel offering a ballroom, food services and staff.
The total weekend rate for The Pavilion package is $5400. Please inquire for non-weekend pricing. A 25% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve the Pavilion.

Shenandoah Woods operates seven vacation cabins and lodges, all within a mile of The Pavilion. If you require additional accommodations there are nine more vacation properties within a mile for a total guest capacity of over 120. Please inquire with your specific guest needs. Please understand that our rental properties are available for anyone to rent and not all properties may be available for every date. Please see the Pavilion calendar first to determine if the Pavilion is available for your dates. We will be happy to let you know which of our properties are available.
Our 14 passenger shuttle bus is available to transport your guests between the Pavilion, the properties and local hotels. The shuttle bus is priced at $90 per hour.
There are several options for music and entertainment. Bands are welcome or you may hire a Disc Jockey, they can bring their own PA system or they can use our professional 3,000 watt PA system and light show. Another popular option is to bring your own music on an iPod or laptop to use with our PA system. Our PA system is not a wimpy hotel PA system. It is a professional system designed to sound clean and if you want, it can shake the dance floor. Every DJ that has been here has loved it. Loud music must end by 11pm.
